Warren Newfield - Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Mr. Newfield has been Chief Executive Officer of CIC Energy since late 2007. He is a founder of CIC Energy and has served as a Chairman since its inception. Mr. Newfield is the founder and Chairman of Tau Capital Corp., a private investment and advisory services company. Mr. Newfield was a co-founder, past President and director of AfriOre Limited. In 2007 this TSX-listed company was sold to Lonmin plc for C$500 million. From 1997 to 2000 he was a director and VP Corporate Development of Platexco Inc. until the company was acquired for C$191 million by Impala Platinum. Mr. Newfield is a director and co-founder of TSX-listed Talon Metals Corp.

Gregory Kinross - President
Mr. Kinross has been President of CIC Energy since its inception in 2005. Mr. Kinross is also currently the President and CEO of Tau Capital Corp. and a founder of CIC Energy. Mr. Kinross was Executive Vice-President, Business Development of Tau Capital Corp. from 2005 to 2007. From 1998 to 2004 he was involved in private equity and investment banking. Prior to 1998, Mr. Kinross spent three years as a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, South Africa. Mr. Kinross, a Chartered Accountant, received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (With Distinction) as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (With Distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand. Mr. Kinross currently serves as a director of Talon Metals Corp., a TSX listed company.

Alexandrea I. Gatis - Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Gatis has been the chief financial officer since 2008. Prior to this she was a senior auditor with Ernst & Young in their Nassau, Bahamas office. While at Ernst & Young Ms. Gatis was responsible for the planning, execution and finalization of audit services. Her clients included international banks, hedge funds and trust companies.  Ms. Gatis has a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) from Taylor University.

Tore Horvei - Chief Operating Officer (Projects)
Mr. Horvei has been the Chief Operating Officer of CIC Energy since January 2007. For ten years prior to this he was the Chief Executive of SAD-ELEC, the South African energy consulting firm CIC Energy acquired in 2006. Prior to this Mr. Horvei was with Norconsult International, a Norwegian energy sector consulting and advisory group. Mr. Horvei has twenty years of experience covering energy market analysis and demand forecasting, economic and financial analysis of energy projects, tariffs and energy pricing issues, energy industry restructuring, development of legal and regulatory frameworks, and project development and management. Mr. Horvei is an economist by training and holds M.Sc. (Business) from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.

Eddie G. Scholtz - Chief Operating Officer (Mining)
Mr. Scholtz has over 35 years of mine management experience with BHP Billiton where he held a variety of positions including Managing Director of Ingwe Collieries, BHP Billiton's wholly-owned South African coal business, now known as BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa. In this role Mr. Scholtz oversaw one of the largest coal businesses in the world producing 80 million tons per annum. Mr. Scholtz has undertaken management development studies at London Business School, University of South Africa (UNISA), and University of Cape Town’s Graduate Business School.

Gibbs Johnson - General Counsel
Mr. Johnson spent eight years with Clifford Chance, based in Europe and North America, culminating in the position of Senior Associate in the Energy and Infrastructure Group based in Paris, France. Mr. Johnson holds a Masters in International Business from the University of South Carolina and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Jennifer Feinberg - Executive Vice President, Finance
Ms. Feinberg, prior to joining CIC Energy, held the position of Director – Investment Banking with NM Rothschild and Sons in South Africa. Her past experience includes Head of Corporate Finance for the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited and Head: Structured Finance with Corpcapital Bank Limited. Ms. Feinberg   holds a B.Sc. (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Witwatersrand, a B.Comm. from the University of South Africa and an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand Business School.

Dale Ter Haar, Head, Botswana Office
Mr. Ter Haar, based in Gaborone, has been Head of CIC Energy’s Botswana Office since it was established in 2006. Prior to this he has a distinguished military career serving 8 years with a British tank regiment. Following one year’s officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and upon posting to his unit he held various appointments in the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain and Major. In the rank of Major and appointed as a Squadron Leader he had full operational responsibility for over 80 soldiers, 14 main battle tanks and a total of £45 million worth of military assets. Mr. Ter Haar holds a Bachelors of Science degree, major in Business Administration from the University of Cardiff.

Michael Page – Executive Vice President, Project Development
Mr. Page has over 30 years of electricity industry experience from working in the UK, Southern and East Africa, Asia and Australia. Prior to joining CIC Energy Corp. Mr Page was a director of SAD-ELEC (Pty) Ltd, a South African energy sector consulting organisation which was acquired by CIC Energy in December 2006. Before joining SAD-ELEC in 2001, he was an international business development manager for East Midlands Electricity International and PowerGen International (now E-ON). He has extensive experience in the development of Independent Power Projects gained from the privatisation of the UK power industry in the early 90’s and more recently overseas. Mr Page holds an Honours degree in Environmental Engineering from Loughborough University (UK) and a Diploma in Management Studies (distinction) from Nottingham Trent University (UK); he is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Energy Institute (UK).

Dave Owen - Executive Vice President, Contracts
Mr. Owen has over 35 years experience in the engineering and project management  business.  Prior to joining CIC Energy, Mr. Owen held various positions at IMS Holdings (Pty) Limited, most recently as the Chief Executive, where he was  responsible for the all of the IMS Group of Companies’ engineering operations including: IMS Engineering, IMS Projects, IMS Industrial Products, IMS Cape and IMS Properties.  Before this Mr. Owen held various positions within Babcock Africa, a leading construction and maintenance contractor in the power generation and petrochemical markets.  Mr. Owen has a Bachelors of Science (Civil Engineering/Construction) from the University of Aston, Birmingham, and is a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business’s Construction Management Programme.  Mr. Owen brings extensive experience in negotiating infrastructure and engineering contracts to CIC Energy as the Company continues to work with numerous vendors on the Mmamabula Energy Project.

Jock Nel, Operations Director
Mr. Nel has 34 years of mining experience, predominantly with Ingwe BHP Billiton where he held the position of General/Mine Manager at Matla Colliery, a 13.5 million tonne per annum coal mine that supplied the Matla Power station and other Eskom interests.  He was also Mine Manager at Optimum Colliery, an 18 million tonne per year coal mine. Prior to his career in mining Mr. Nel was in the chemical industry with African Explosives and Chemical Industries for six years.  He has a National Higher Diploma for Engineering Technicians from Witwatersrand Technical College in Johannesburg, completed the Management Development Program at Unisa University and the Executive Development Program at Witwatersrand University.  Mr. Nel also holds a Certificate of Competency for Mechanical Engineering for Mines and Works and for Factories.

Susan Myburgh, Financial Director
Ms. Myburgh served as Chief Financial Officer of CIC Energy from its inception until December 2007. From 2004 until January 2008, Ms. Myburgh was the Chief Financial Officer of AfriOre Limited. From 1997 to 2004 she served as the Administrative and Financial Manager of AfriOre Limited and its subsidiaries.
