CIC Energy Corp.

CIC Energy Corp. is developing the Mmamabula Energy Complex at its Mmamabula Coal Field in southeastern Botswana, Africa. This planned Complex comprises three projects. The most advanced project is the power station and integrated coal mine project, known as the Mmamabula Energy Project. In addition, a Coal-to-Hydrocarbons Project (CTH) and Export Coal project are planned.

Significant new baseload power generation capacity is required in southern Africa to restore critically low system reserve margins and support economic growth. Substantial new power generation capacity must be built each year for close to the next 20 years.

The 1,200 MW planned Mmamabula Energy Project is the most advanced independent power producer project in the region. In March 2009, CIC Energy signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for the power station with Shanghai Electric Group.

CIC Energy has a strong treasury of approximately C$40 million and has been listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (ELC:TSX) and on the Botswana Stock Exchange (CIC Energy: BSE) since 2006. CIC Energy is a Tau Capital Group Company.
